1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Haven ("the Service"), operated at havenfamily.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Haven is a family management platform that helps households organize tasks, routines, calendars, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and rewards. The Service is available as a free, ad-supported tier and as a paid subscription (Haven+) with additional features.
3. Account Registration
To use Haven, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parents and guardians may create family member profiles for their children within their household.
4. Household and Family Data
As the account holder, you are responsible for the data you enter into Haven, including family member profiles, tasks, and other household information. You represent that you have the authority to manage this data on behalf of your household members.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- Haven+ subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Free trial periods, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change affects their renewal.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us through our Support page for refund requests.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it.
- Upload malicious content, spam, or harmful material.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.
7. AI-Powered Features
Haven uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to power features such as calendar event extraction, recipe import, and meal suggestions. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should review and verify AI-extracted data before relying on it. We are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Haven and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you create within Haven (tasks, recipes, meal plans, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.
9. Third-Party Services
Haven integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication, calendar, AI), Stripe (payments), and others. Your use of these integrations is also subject to their respective terms of service. Haven is not responsible for the availability or practices of third-party services.
10. Limitation of Liability
Haven is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Haven at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time through our Support page.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
